John Broadwood & Sons Grand Piano – c1925

This piano is a fine and rare instrument with a Waring and Gillow built cabinet in the Robert Adams style. A stunning example of a 88 note barless grand piano built by the famous British maker John Broadwood & Sons in 1925. The carved mahogany cabinet in harpsichord style, decorated with swags, urns and garland foliate ornamentation raised on dual square tapering legs with spade toe, joined with a curved, moulded super-structure.  Includes original matching piano stool. Offering a British traditional tone from the Golden Era of piano making. Finished in brown fiddleback mahogany in French shellac.
